Description
Overview
The Böning AHD 514 S provides a diesel-engine safety channel independent of the AHD 514 A alarm system, with separate processing of safety shutdown criteria and emergency-stop inputs.
Operation and integration
Separate 24 V DC +30%/−25% supplies serve the safety and emergency-stop circuits. Emergency-stop activation is passed directly to its output independently of the safety function. Redundant safety sensors are acquired separately from the alarm system.
Key features
- Two independent wire-break-monitored emergency inputs
- Five wire-break-monitored stop-criterion inputs
- Five function inputs for acknowledgement, reset, override and override testing
- One isolated speed input
- Four potential-free 6 A relays
- Two 8 A protected transistor outputs for safety-system engine-stop magnets or air dampers
- One separate 8 A protected emergency-stop transistor output
- One 4–20 mA speed-display output
- CAN connection to AHD 514 A
- One optocoupler serial output
- IP20 rail-mount housing and pluggable terminals
- Engine-series-specific adaptation
