Overview
The Böning AHD-SLP A and AHD-SLP AJ provide dedicated control of HR-1170 and RCL-300A searchlights using 2 × 35 W metal-halide lamps. The two panel versions share a consistent design with Böning yacht equipment and offer direct access to the searchlight controls from a bridge, flybridge or other operating position. Searchlights support light signalling, night manoeuvring and locating people or objects during an emergency.
Choose the operating version
AHD-SLP A uses four directional pushbuttons; AHD-SLP AJ uses a joystick. Both arrangements allow horizontal and vertical aiming, including diagonal movement. A lamp on/off key provides continuous operation, and a signalling button enables light signals. The slow/fast control selects movement speed, with LEDs indicating the selected speed mode. The control functions include pan, tilt and focus.
Multiple control positions and visibility
Several operating units can be linked over CAN so that the same searchlight can be controlled from different positions on the vessel. With the appropriate system configuration, the CAN connection also supports operation through the touchscreen visualisation of Böning AHD 12XX or AHD 13XX panel PCs. An integrated photosensor automatically dims the illuminated controls as ambient light changes.
Installation and connections
The panels are intended for indoor or outdoor installation in a control station, panel or control box. Front protection is IP56 and rear protection is IP20, so the installed arrangement must protect the rear accordingly. The pluggable 11-pole terminal strip carries the connections including the lamp supply. CAN is available through screw terminals or RJ45 sockets. Each version has one CAN input and two analogue outputs rated up to 12 V DC.
