Description
Overview
The Böning AHD-PS 47C brings 47 binary signals into a compact DIN-rail module for distributed ship alarm and monitoring systems. Developed from the AHD-PS 47 with the same core functions, it provides a space-saving way to acquire switching states near the equipment being monitored.
Signal acquisition and processing
Contacts, transistor outputs and proximity switches can provide the input signals. Current-controlled inputs reduce the influence of differences in electrical potential, while an LED for each channel shows its switching state. The module forwards the acquired states by serial connection to a receiving Böning data station; alarm evaluation and status-message generation take place in that receiving station according to its configuration. The resulting information can then reach display panels through the system CAN or LAN network.
System connections
Receiving-unit examples include AHD-DPU 9, AHD-R101, AHD-SAS 15, AHD 882 and Kompakt EDA 47. Three serial output arrangements are provided: S1 is potential-free, S2 switches the positive supply and S3 switches the negative supply. Front-panel LEDs indicate serial data activity.
Key features
- 47 optocoupler inputs for binary contacts and switching signals.
- Current-controlled acquisition helps suppress potential-shift interference.
- Individual input-state LEDs and data-traffic indication.
- Three optocoupler serial outputs: potential-free, switching to plus and switching to minus.
- Pluggable terminal connections for cabinet wiring.
- Compact mounting on TS 32 or TS 35 DIN rail in cabinets, consoles, panels and control boxes.
Installation and electrical limits
For the connection to a station such as AHD-DPU 9, the datasheet permits a cable run of up to 1,000 m when conductor cross-section is at least 0.5 mm². This supports decentralised installation close to the acquired signals. Supply is 24 V DC with +30%/−25% tolerance. Rest current is below 25 mA; with all inputs active, the specified current is 250 mA at 18 V DC or 360 mA at 30 V DC.
