Description
Overview
The Böning AHD-DPU 9 collects and processes signals from equipment throughout a vessel, bringing measurement, performance, status and alarm information into a ship-wide Böning system. Typical sources include engines, generators and ship alarm systems. Processed information is distributed to external displays and control units rather than remaining isolated at each individual source.
Processing and event history
Built-in mathematical and logical operations provide PLC functionality. The station can process watch-standby states as well as alarm and status messages, and can serve as a configurable watch standby system. Its internal memory holds up to 16,000 events for local backup; stored events can be retrieved through the visualisation system.
I/O and visualisation
Twenty-eight configurable binary connection ports support optocoupler, serial or static operation. The datasheet lists AHD-PS 15, AHD-PS 30, AHD-PS 47 and AHD-R101-2 as connection examples. Direct potential-bound inputs use the same supply voltage as the AHD-DPU 9. Ethernet-connected visualisation supports up to six monitors. The manufacturer also describes the station as capable of fulfilling functions of AHD-UCC, AHD-UIC and AHD 882.
Communication interfaces
- Six galvanically isolated CAN interfaces with termination and address settings.
