Description
Overview
The Böning AHD 1319 GW is a 19.2-inch panel PC with a glass front and touchscreen for vessel visualisation. Its integrated computer combines the viewing and operating functions in one unit.
Display and visibility
Automatic dimming adapts the screen to changing ambient light and reduces glare at night. Display brightness is up to 500 cd/m². The display arrangement is intended to maintain readable vessel information in bright bridge conditions. Wide viewing angles and colour reproduction support viewing away from the centreline. Capacitive touch operation avoids the visible sensor-thread pattern described for other touch technologies.
Marine installation
Automotive-grade components support the wider operating-temperature range described for this model series. Passive cooling and the absence of moving fans or mechanical drives support shock-resistant marine operation. The unit is intended for a 24 V DC vessel supply. Its all-in-one construction reduces installation space and effort, with integration into existing systems supported by the intended configuration.
Key features
- Self-contained visualisation on a closed operating system, designed to prevent accidental configuration changes.
- Four BNC video inputs.
- Ethernet connection to the Böning ship-alarm system.
- Source-described outdoor application; installation protection remains model-specific.
- Bonded ultrawide glass-front display.
- An integrated PC provides the configured extended operating and visualisation functions.
Cybersecurity and system architecture
The self-contained visualisation runs on a closed operating system. In this Böning system configuration, no additional firewall or antivirus software is required, and the configuration cannot be changed accidentally.
Interfaces by hardware generation
The manufacturer’s fourth-generation AHD 1319 GW documentation specifies three LAN, three USB, one remote-bus CAN and one RS232 diagnostic interface, together with four 50 Hz PAL BNC video inputs and one DisplayPort output. The earlier AHD 1319 GW document specifies two LAN and two USB interfaces; these are different hardware generations, so the interface counts must follow the installed version.
